Sip of Science: A Journey with RNA Polymerase

About event

Transcription is one of the most tightly regulated biological processes. Regulation of this event allows an organism to respond to a variety of changing external and internal circumstances. Despite RNA Polymerases main role in transcription, there are several other key components which are involved in the regulation of gene expression, such as cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). These work to control transcription via the phosphorylation of the components involved in transcription and pre-mRNA processing.
