Bio
Radek Marek is the head of the research group Structure of Biosystems and Molecular Materials at CEITEC Masaryk University. His research focuses on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and quantum chemistry, with an emphasis on the study of biomolecular interactions and supramolecular chemistry. His work contributes to a deeper understanding of chemical bonding and interactions in biomolecules, which is relevant e.g. for the development of new drugs and materials.
Radek Marek holds a PhD in organic chemistry and a professorship in biomolecular chemistry. During his career, he has held research fellowships at the Universities of Antwerp, Athens and the Institute of Structural Biology in Grenoble.
