Workshop

Processing of proteomics data in KNIME

About event

Abstract

Omics data processing are becoming increasingly complex and harder to process and reproduce. In response to this trend, we have built and are maintaining docker software container containing KNIME Analytics Platform. We are also developing new KNIME metanodes/components enabling utilization of advanced data processing methods and visualization techniques. Combined, they enable reproducible and flexible processing and interpretation of not only proteomics data. The platform is free and open-source and aims to be easy to use, still enabling detailed inspection and adjustment of individual steps including all scripts potentially used.

The 1-day free workshop will have theoretical (morning) and practical (afternoon, on your own notebooks; not mandatory) part with the following aims:

  1. Theoretical
  • present you the software container running KNIME Analytics Platform as a tool for reproducible data processing
  • present you the developed tools and their orchestration in proteomics data processing
  1. Practical
  • introduction to data processing in KNIME Analytics Platform
  • hands-on presentation of our standard proteomics data processing workflow
  • help you to get started with your own proteomic data processing or follow up analyses
