Research Position | Published on 14.11.2024 |
The director of the CEITEC Brno University of Technology is opening a position for:
Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Organic Chemist with a Focus on Biomaterials and dynamic bio-inks for 3D/4D (bio)printing
Postdoktorand - Organický chemik se zaměřením na biomateriály a dynamické bioinkousty pro 3D/4D (bio)tisk
Description
The CEITEC Advanced Biomaterials research team is seeking an outstanding applicant for a scientific position as a postdoctoral research fellow. The postdoctoral scholar shall work with the development of biomaterials, in particular focusing on the synthesis and functionalization of (co)polymers suitable as injectable and 3D (bio)printable hydrogels as drug-delivery carriers for molecular biology, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering applications. The research will feature polymer syntheses and modifications using Schlenk’s techniques under an inert atmosphere, 3D (bio)printing, and testing of final substrates/implants/scaffolds for different stimuli to obtain shape/size-changing products. Close collaboration with physicians (orthopedists, plastic surgeons, stomatologists, traumatologists etc.) and pre-clinical (veterinary) researchers is envisioned. The postdoctoral fellow will have the unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art nano- and microfabrication facilities (see https://nano.ceitec.cz/) and Biophotonics core facilities (https://www.ceitec.eu/core-facilities/).
