Josef Houser is the head of the shared laboratory of Biomolecular Interactions and Crystallography (BIC) at CEITEC Masaryk University. The laboratory provides essential technological support for research focused on characterization of biomolecules and understanding their interactions, including the analysis of binding affinities and thermodynamics. Josef Houser specializes in the analysis of the biomolecular interactions and their influence on the structure and function of biomolecules, which is crucial for research in the biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.
Josef Houser studied biochemistry at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University and received his PhD in biomolecular chemistry. He further developed his experience at CERMAV in Grenoble and as a researcher at the National Centre for Biomolecular Research of the Masaryk University. Currently, he is a secretary of an Association of Resources for Biophysical Research in Europe (ARBRE).
