Research topic: Equilibrium between cell division and cell differentiation in plants – hormonal regulations and beyond

The MSCA-PF project will be aimed on dissecting the role of hormonal regulations in the control between cell division and cell differentiation. The candidate will employ advanced imaging of Arabidopsis root to study the processes underlying hormonal regulations of the equilibrium between cell division and cell differentiation in the real-time and with cellular resolution.

Main research interest of the hosting lab: The Functional Genomics and Proteomics group (Hejatko lab) @CEITEC is interested in the mechanisms of hormonal regulations of the plant development. We are interested in i) mechanisms allowing to integrate more signaling types in the so called multistep phosphorelay (MSP) pathway, ii) structural aspects of MSP signaling and iii) the genes being the targets of MSP signaling signaling pathway.

Candidate professional profile: We are seeking for highly motivated candidates with excellent publication output in the life science field, preferably (but not exclusively) plant molecular biology or physiology. The candidate should possess PhD degree from the molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, proteomics, plant physiology and/or related fields. Experience in advanced (in vivo) imaging using confocal and/or light sheet microscopy and image analysis is advantageous.
