A portable laboratory for physicians is being developed by scientists from the CEITEC BUT. The doctor takes a blood sample, puts the tube in a box on the table, and in a few minutes sees the results of the medical test - even so, it may soon be a common medical check-up. A larger-sized shoe box can detect a variety of diseases from a sample of body fluids - such as inflammation, diabetes, or even some cancers. The device could be available in two years. Report is only in Czech language.
