Workshop on Unconscious Bias is over
On 17th May 2018, CEITEC MU organized the workshop for group leaders and facility heads on unconscious bias and how they affect the way we select and evaluate people and how do it affect our communication with Femi Otitoju, an experienced lecturer from the Challenge Consultancy (UK). We are happy to say that the feedback from participants was very positive.
“Great workshop! Very well done and very useful information delivered in an excellent manner. Understanding what implicit bias and how it impacts our decisions is the key to promoting more inclusive and intercultural workplaces, practices and leadership.” (Natallia Valasevich)
„I was glad that CEITEC started organizing workshops specifically for group leaders that focus on the development of competencies relevant for group leaders. Training with Femi Otitoju on unconscious bias was very good and inspirational, and I can recommend it to all supervisors who are involved in recruitment and development of people.“ (Robert Vácha)
"The Unconscious Bias workshop presented important examples and theory of bias in working environment, along with practices that can be employed to reduce bias. The presentation by Femi Otitoju was substantial and engaging, stressing practical steps while supporting with the adequate theory for non-experts. The use of real-life examples and study results reinforced the points made and appealed to the scientific background of the audience." (Panagiotis Alexiou)
