Milan Brázdil is a leading Czech neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, invasive EEG, and behavioural neurology. His research confirmed the neurological origin of the déjà vu phenomenon. At CEITEC Masaryk University, he leads the Behavioural and Social Neuroscience research group, which investigates how brain networks influence human behaviour and the processing of social information. Using advanced imaging techniques, his team aims to understand brain activity and the transitions between normal and pathological brain states. His work has contributed to a better understanding of both functional and structural brain changes in epilepsy.
He has published over 200 scientific articles and was ranked among the most influential physicians in the Czech Republic by Forbes in 2023. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London and received the prestigious Ambassador for Epilepsy award from the International League Against Epilepsy in 2021.
