Why PhD at CEITEC MUNI?
The CEITEC PhD School is based on the so-called "Principles for Innovative Doctoral Training" issued by the European Union to standardise the quality of European doctoral studies. These principles include excellent science, an attractive institutional environment, opportunities for interdisciplinary research, collaboration with industry and potential employers, gaining international experience and contacts, and developing transferable skills and soft skills.

Funding
- The scholarship is at a level of the average salary in the Czech Republic and will allow you to live comfortably. The funding starts at 25,000 CZK per month.
- Opportunity to participate in the competition Brno Ph.D. Talent: Each year, several students from the CEITEC PhD School successfully secure substantial additional funding for their research projects.
- The Jaroslav Koča Bridge Fund offers funding opportunities for interdisciplinary research projects, supporting collaborative work across scientific fields within CEITEC.
International opportunities
- CEITEC is a leading member of Alliance4Life, a member of the EU-LIFE consortium, strategic partnership with the Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities.
- Many CEITEC PhD School students actively participate in international grant projects. Additionally, each PhD student completes at least a one-month internship abroad, providing hands-on experience and fostering international scientific connections.
