On the occasion of the anniversary, CEITEC will plant an annual tree in the Brno Open Gardens on Sunday 10th October 2021.
It is a small event with the participation of representatives of the consortium institutions and the organizational team. CEITEC employees are also cordially invited.
Scientists work here in eight areas of research and deal with technologies of the future in the fields of life and materials sciences, and now also cybernetics. Researchers investigate modern methods of genome editing, molecular machines, and sophisticated research examining the structure of viruses and bacteria down to the level of individual atoms. They also deal with the development of enhanced paramagnetic resonance, neurostimulation of nervous systems, artificial intelligence and completely new nanomaterials. Their results help to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, Alzheimer's disease and tick-borne encephalitis. In the field of materials science, the results will contribute, for example, towards more efficient energy storage, but also towards the development of completely new materials and biomaterials with unique properties that can make our world a safer, more efficient or more sustainable place to live.
