On the occasion of the CEITEC 10th anniversary (Have you wished?), we would like to present to you why our research and work are important and how we have contributed to society.

This time meet the specialized technician Filip Pardy, who works in the Genomics Core Facility and in the Sarka Pospisilova Research Group focusing on medical genomics. Filip and his colleagues managed, among other things, to develop a new form of tests against coronavirus. They should be able to detect the virus more reliably than antigen tests with an outcome within an hour and with no need to transport samples to a central laboratory. The isothermal amplification test has already been offered to commercial manufacturers for future licensing.
