A multidisciplinary science center with a state-of-the-art research infrastructure

There are a total of three areas of research at CEITEC BUT. Our main priorities include not only international research cooperation, but also its interdisciplinary nature. CEITEC Nano shared laboratories operate in an open access mode and provide ideal conditions for solving multidisciplinary issues, as their equipment can also be used by external users, institutions or industry partners.

Focusing on the area of nanotechnologies, covering materials and structures which can be exploited in nanoelectronic and nanophotonic applications. The research involves the preparation, characterization and analysis of the properties of nanostructures, enabling the active application of the principles which determine the unique and specific properties of nanostructures.

CEITEC Nano Research Infrastructure

We provide access to technology equipment for nanotechnology and material science research. The uniqueness of laboratories lies in the possibility of so-called "open" and "self-service" access. This is because not only the CEITEC scientific teams, but also other academic and industrial users are able to take advantage of the comprehensive device complex.
