CEITEC PhD School Conference
The CEITEC PhD School Conference aims to train presentation and communication skills in students of the 3rd and higher years but also to evaluate the progress and perspectives of study so far with emphasis on fulfilling obligations such as completing an internship or publishing a first-authored work. The 1st and 2nd-year students practice their communication skills in discussions with presenters and provide feedback to presenters. Participation in the conference is obligatory for all students of the CEITEC PhD school.
The conference program includes presentations of research results of the 4th year students of the CEITEC PhD School, poster display + flash talk (supported by one slide displayed on the screen) of the students of the 3rd year and poster display of the students in the 5th or higher years. All the presenters also prepare abstracts and short bios for the abstract book. In addition, the students prepare a summary of the fulfilment of their study which can be discussed during the conference with the members of the Doctoral Board if needed.
Attendance at the conference is mandatory for all PhD candidates at CEITEC PhD School, and the course S5012 CEITEC PhD School Conference must be enrolled every spring semester (except stay abroad).
In 2025, the CEITEC PhD School Conference will take place on June 3.
