The workshop is organized within the HORIZON 2020 BISON project. No fee will be charged. Number of participants in practical laboratory part is limited to 16. Attendance of tutorial lectures is open for others up to the lecture hall capacity.
The workshop is followed by a conference on Bioelectrochemistry and Bioelectronics of Macromolecules held in Brno (Czech Republic) from June 12 to 15, 2018. More info about the conference is HERE.
Accommodation and meals: Six beds in three double rooms are pre-booked at the IBP guest house (available for very low prices on “first come – first serve” basis). For information about other possibilities please contact Monika Hermanová (hermanova.mon@gmail.com). Lunches will be available in the IBP canteen (for 16 participants free of charge).

Topics of the workshop will include:
- basics of electrochemistry of organic compounds (electrochemical properties of selected functional groups)
- electrochemistry of natural nucleic acids
- nucleic acids labelling techniques
- electrochemistry of proteins
- utilization of catalytic hydrogen evolution in analysis of biomacromolecules
- choice of working electrodes with respect to analyte type and experimental setup
- boron doped diamond as an example of modern electrode material
